Around August 2022, I happened to be around the Musaffah area where the Emirates Driving Company school is located. The only driving school in the Emirates of Abu Dhabi. As a curious person, I decided to visit the school and ask them whether I can get Abu Dhabi driving license with Dubai visa.

‘Yes, you can.” This was the answer I got from the Typing Center representative in building 3 at the school. I was shocked, surprised, and did not believe it. I even thought maybe the representative didn’t understand my question because we were not understanding each other well because of the language barrier. 

He laughed off when I asked him the third time! And he told me that he understands why I was shocked because that is the response he normally gets when he confirms with other people too. To make things more interesting he told me the only documents I need to apply for driving license are my Emirates ID and eye test certificate.
